Dr. Shangul Qader meets FAO Representative in Baghdad in preparation for the upcoming Arab Regional Economic Conference on Food Security and Global Warming
As part of the ongoing preparations for the Arab Regional Economic Conference on Food Security and Global Warming, scheduled to take place in Baghdad, Dr. Shangul Qader, President of the Jordanian-Iraqi Brotherhood Association, held an official meeting with Dr. Salah El-Hajj Hassan, Representative of the Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations (FAO) in Iraq.
During the meeting, the two sides discussed the conference's key themes and objectives, which focus on enhancing food security and addressing the challenges of climate change and global warming in the Arab world. They also explored avenues for regional and international cooperation, as well as the importance of engaging public and civil society sectors in creating sustainable solutions to environmental and food-related crises.
Dr. Shangul emphasized the significance of partnering with FAO in this initiative, noting the organization’s critical role and expertise in supporting agricultural and food policies in the region.
For his part, Dr. Salah El-Hajj Hassan welcomed the initiative and affirmed FAO’s readiness to support and participate in the conference, contributing to the collective efforts to tackle food and environmental challenges across the Arab world.
