Orange Money the First in Jordan to Receive Western Union Transfers & Sending Them Electronically in Cooperation with Musharbash Exchange

Orange Money, the e-wallet owned by Orange Jordan, announced the launch of money transfer services for sending and receiving funds through Western Union. This makes it the first e-wallet in Jordan to enable receiving international Western Union transfers directly into the Kingdom, in addition to sending them, reinforcing its leadership as one of the leading mobile payment service providers. This step comes as part of a strategic agreement signed with the cross-border leader in fast money transfers and Musharbash Exchange to offer and develop these solutions.

These services reflect Orange Money’s unwavering commitment to delivering an exceptional digital payment journey to its customers, who account for more than 50% of e-wallet users in the Kingdom. It provides access to Western Union’s global network to send and receive money to and from over 200 countries directly through the wallet’s application, through simple steps and a fully digital experience defined by convenience, clarity, and security.

Orange Money affirmed that introducing these services aligns with a comprehensive vision to support the Central Bank of Jordan’s financial inclusion strategy and translate it into reality. The new money transfer services offer key features, such as 24/7 availability, easy status tracking, and no requirement for Orange Money customers to have a bank account. Furthermore, the service is provided under the supervision and regulation of the Central Bank of Jordan and in cooperation with Musharbash Exchange.
